SCBWI / HU Scholarship Opportunity!

Hollins University is sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship competition for members of SCBWI

The scholarship will help cover tuition during the 2025 or 2026 academic year to attend one of Hollins’ graduate programs: the M.A. in Children’s Literature, the M.F.A. in Children’s Literature, the Certificate in Illustration, or the M.F.A. in Children’s Book Writing and Illustrating, now with in-person year-round and summers-only options.

To enter, writers will submit the first page of a manuscript or academic work (based on SCBWI’s “first page critique” guidelines). Illustrators will submit three of their illustrations no later than March 15, 2025. Follow the QR code below for submission details.

A winner will be chosen in April, in time for summer registration.
